TC • Transcontinental is a prominent player in the flexible packaging industry in North America and holds the distinction of being the largest printer in Canada. Moreover, it stands as the premier Canadian group dedicated to French-language educational publishing.
To meet their objectives of attracting top talent and engaging their workforce,
TC • Transcontinental confronted the task of establishing itself as an employer of choice. Their primary strategy to achieve this goal was the creation of a unique employer brand that would position them as the top choice for job seekers.
To do this, the sept24 team:
- Created an employer brand image that reflects the strong culture at TC
- Ensured the message’s tone resonated with employees and candidates, giving it life and authenticity.
- Provided HR specialists with all the necessary tools to effectively attract and retain candidates.
- Established awareness of the company as a leading employer within their industry.
- Assisted in coordinating the internal launch of the employer brand and culture book.
- Supported efforts to mobilize and engage current employees.
EXPLORATION STAGE
To achieve our shared objectives, we established focus groups comprising teams from both Canada and the United States, with the aim of gaining genuine insights into the experiences of their employees.
In addition, we thoroughly examined their internal surveys and conducted workshops involving management. This comprehensive approach allowed us to align their vision, aspirations, and the current situation within their organization.
Our discoveries couldn’t have been more encouraging: The existing employees demonstrate deep dedication and take pride in working for TC • Transcontinental. They highly value the company, as it prioritizes the well-being of its staff, making it a standout gem within its industry.

CREATION STAGE
The foundation of the employer brand message lies in the tangible employee experience. We emphasized well-being, a strong sense of belonging, and individual aspirations as the key elements of the EVP’s success. The tone we adopted was honest, authentic, humble and above all, proud.
Because TC truly believes that everything they do starts with the power of people, the phrase “We’ve got it made” really encompasses their wholesome culture. The close-knit team, filled with happy and fulfilled individuals that take immense joy in contributing to its great mission of excellence and to always do things well.
LAUNCH STAGE
The creative avenues we explored were incredibly inspiring. Our efforts aimed to raise awareness and emphasize on pride, lead us to create a culture book that made their new identity and internal culture easily accessible to all.
To enhance their candidate experience, we developed a career website that not only efficiently processes resume submissions but also aligns aesthetically with their new employer brand. We were determined to bring this brand to life at every stage, starting from day one.
Internally, we also implemented promotional items such as coffee cups, umbrellas, packs of gum, tote bags, and more to promote the employer brand activation. To simplify the process, we created a catalog to enable local managers to order the most suitable items for their teams.
Regarding visibility, we underwent a complete redesign of their social media visuals to align with the new image. We also made toolkits available for both personal and corporate LinkedIn accounts to effectively promote the new employer brand. Additionally, we created redesigned trade fair booths and posters, strategically reinforcing the brand’s presence across all points of contact.
Furthermore, we provided them with the necessary tools to independently bring their employer brand to life internally. This involved offering training and toolkits to the entire HR community.
