Chief Accountant

Schedule and location of work:

The person will work from our Sherbrooke offices, with the possibility of telecommuting, and will benefit from a flexible schedule.

Your mission:

Ensure strong financial execution on a day-to-day basis, while influencing the strategic decisions that shape the future of sept24.

Your responsibilities:

• Ensure the complete management of the agency’s financial operations.
• Work in a team, supervise and support the Accounting Technician in their daily responsibilities.
• In collaboration with the Account Managers, produce personalized invoices adapted to the reality of each customer and follow up on accounts receivable.
• In collaboration with HR, take charge of the entire compensation component: from the establishment of the annual budget to performance analyses, including salary increases, benefits, and payroll.
• Produce and analyze monthly and annual financial statements with our auditors.
• Provide and present clear performance indicators.
• Advise management and teams on financial and strategic decisions.
• Negotiate with our insurers.
• Optimize and evolve management systems (including Frontiva and Sage).
• It should be noted that the finance department is a tight-knit team where certain tasks are divided according to the priorities and talents of each person.

Requirements:

• Have several years of experience in accounting, including full responsibility for the accounting cycle.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a college diploma combined with several years of experience.
• Understand the specific challenges faced by SMEs, ideally in a professional services context.
• Master the production of financial statements and financial analysis.
• Comfortable with technology tools and management systems and having worked with Sage is an asset.
• Excellent command of French, written and oral, with a professional understanding of English.
