Fédération des pourvoiries du Québec is an organization of over 330 outfitters that share a great love of the province’s wilderness areas, which they seek to promote as an easily accessible vacation destination.
This vast tourism network offers the largest selection of quality accommodations and services in Quebec, whether for hunting and fishing enthusiasts, families looking for a nature vacation, or outdoor enthusiasts wishing to enjoy one of their favorite activities, in every region of the province. The Federation offers a wide range of services to member and non-member outfitters and their customers.
The Federation’s ambition is to ensure that the Quebec outfitting network is recognized as a leader in sustainable wildlife tourism.
Develop an employer brand to equip its members with a guide and practical recruitment tools that highlight the distinctive elements of outfitter companies as employers, thereby attracting a larger number of candidates to explore job opportunities in outfitting.
Thanks to sept24’s unique methodology, employees from several outfitters were able to take part in the research, notably through a survey and focus groups. These steps enabled us to draw up the findings, the recruitment proposal and a solid foundation on which to launch the creative phase.
The Surnaturel concept was born with the aim of highlighting the many distinctive elements of outfitting jobs, such as the connection with nature, the stimulating tasks, the extraordinary environment and the remoteness from the city.
The adjective “surnaturel” means “too extraordinary, too great, too intense to be simply natural”. Using it in the concept of the Federation’s recruiter brand is a punchy and surprising way to draw attention to a distinct working environment, that of Quebec outfitters.
The concept is rooted in the conviction that outfitters are so good to work for that they’re hard to believe. In fact, we’ve come to show that outfitters are places where the extraordinary and the supernatural are entirely natural. They don’t offer jobs like other outfitters, even in tourism and the great outdoors. We’ve capitalized on that with inspiring and compelling taglines.
After a well-crafted internal project, it’s time for the employer brand launch. It was carried out in two stages:
1 – First, to unveil the new employer brand identity and the process behind the project, sept24 was invited to participate in the annual conference of the Federation of Outfitters to present everything. Following this presentation, we provided a digital toolkit for outfitter owners, including various tools such as: ·
This way, all outfitter owners had several tools to use their new employer brand in their various communications while remaining consistent with the developed concept.
2 – Guided by the strategic activation plan designed by sept24, the Federation launched an impactful campaign on social media. This initiative unveiled the new employer brand, highlighted the unique advantages of outfitter jobs, and effectively directed candidates to the outfitters’ job offers. Our expertise thus laid the groundwork for an innovative recruitment campaign for the sector.
