Who is City of Blainville?

The City of Blainville is located in the Laurentides region of Quebec. It ranks as the 18th largest city by population and recently secured the top spot as the best place to live. Blainville is recognized for its excellence in municipal services and its commitment to the well-being of its citizens. With a mission to create a dynamic and stimulating environment by providing high-quality services responsibly and sustainably, its employees contribute to this mission daily through their commitment, creativity, and collaboration.

Our mandate

To define each of Blainville’s three core values and develop a unique visual identity for them, giving them meaning and vibrancy so they resonate with employees and become ingrained in the city’s culture. The goal: inform and engage.

Exploration Stage

Blainville had identified its values during its strategic planning exercise. To build on this, Sept24 organized focus groups and individual interviews with employees and management to concretely define each value. Employees had a direct input in the project, thereby strengthening their engagement within the organization.

Creation Stage

Following this participatory research, we decided to break the mold and unleash our creativity by exploring new perspectives for the visual identity. Combining punchy copywriting with a mix of illustrations and images, the values took on a completely unexpected and vibrant form.

Our artistic direction, led by Mathilde, highlighted the secondary brand colors to bring a fresh touch to the design, creating a captivating and unique visual experience.

Launch Stage

The result of this creative endeavor was presented to senior management and employees before being visually deployed across various printed materials. The different activations aimed not only to bring the values to life in the workplace but also to help employees internalize and embrace them.
