MRC Témiscamingue
Tourism Attraction Campaign
Témiscamingue, a region of hidden treasures in Quebec, boasts unparalleled natural wealth and a vibrant history. Confronted with myths and misconceptions, the region sought to stand out and be rediscovered not just as a mere destination, but as an adventure, a journey.
The challenge for the MRC Témiscamingue was clear: to demystify preconceived notions, highlight its unique way of life, and increase its visibility as a must-visit tourist destination.
To highlight the purpose of the MRC Témiscamingue through a tourism attraction campaign.
We delved deeply to uncover the true strengths of the MRC. By organizing focus groups with local tourism operators, past visitors, and potential tourists, we captured the very essence of the region. To push the conversation further, we conducted our research by measuring and validating the myths surrounding Témiscamingue. Our most vibrant discovery? Those who already know the region have an unconditional love for it, and those who are about to visit are filled with a curiosity that drives them.
With the image of raw nature and vast spaces in mind, we shaped our message. Collaborating with local photographers, we created an immersive video, articles for various newspapers, and visual campaigns for bus ads and television commercials, particularly on TVA. Our co-branding with Urbania and Coup de Pouce gave a significant boost to our visibility.
We aimed to emphasize the region’s lifestyle, showing that vacations in Témiscamingue could be both a slow vacation and an adventure-filled road trip: it’s not only the destination, it’s also the journey.
At the heart of this creation was a clear message: “Viens donc pour voir” (See it for yourself). A bold challenge, an invitation to discover Témiscamingue, a less-visited region but one that is incredibly rich in experiences.
Our campaign took off through traditional and digital placements, spanning over 4 months. Témiscamingue was no longer just a name on a map, but an experience, a journey, a challenge.
Today, Témiscamingue is not just a region to visit. It’s a region to live, to breathe, and one that leaves a unique imprint on the hearts of travelers. Témiscamingue—it seems boring to death.
